HPPCOOP has put up the Typhoon Ulysses Damayan Fund and has called for donations. HPPCOOP has initially committed to match up to P50,000.00 worth of donations made to the Fund. But by the end of the fund drive, the Typhoon Ulysses Damayan Fund was able to raise P63,100.00 from both members and non-members! Due to the overwhelming response, HPPCOOP has decided to match all of the donations and has turned over the funds to DXC Inspire who has been doing relief efforts to Typhoon Ulysses victims.
On November 27, 2020, HPPCOOP and DXC Inspire led by Ms Marjorie Encarnacion, had a virtual turnover.
"I'd like to thank HPPCOOP for the donation. The donations will surely go a long way in helping the many victims of the calamity. We really appreciate our partnership with HPPCOOP over the years and we hope that you'll be able to help even more people in the years ahead.", said Marjorie Encarnacion.
"We have seen how DXC Inspire went above and beyond the call of duty just to be able to help people in need. We will always be happy to work with DXC Inspire in future projects. We are also very grateful to all our members who answered the call. It just shows how much we can achieve if we work together which is really what a cooperative is all about.", added Kat Salangsang-Garcia, Chairperson of HPPCOOP.
