HPPCOOP The First 10 Years Photo Contest

Theme: A Decade of Service. A Decade of Cooperation.

As part of our 10^th Year Anniversary Celebration, we are holding a photo contest to showcase the journey our cooperative has taken through the years and share how the cooperative has impacted members' lives.

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all members of HPP Employees Multipurpose Cooperative.

GUIDELINES

• Photos must depict the theme, “A Decade of Service. A Decade of Cooperation.”
• Entries must be the member’s original photo.
• Photos taken from coop’s founding year (2014) to present are eligible.
• Photo processing should be limited to cropping and color adjustments only. Photo manipulation and AI-generated photos are not allowed.
• Photo collage is allowed if it strengthens the message you want to convey in relation to the theme.
• Photos must be in JPEG or PNG format with at least 300 dpi resolution.
• Photos must not contain any copyrighted materials.
• By joining, participants give HPPCOOP full permission to use the photos in the planned HPPCOOP’s The First 10 Years Coffee Table Book (with proper recognition given to the photo owner) as well as in any HPPCOOP material or social media sites.
• To join, members must submit their entry online through the Google Form provided.
• Filename of photo must be in the following format: COOP ID_NAME_PHOTO TITLE, e.g. 99999 Juan Dela Cruz Dahil sa Coop, Busog!
• Members may submit as many entries as they want.
• Members will be required to provide the following information upon submission of entry:
  • Coop ID
  • Name
  • Email
  • Photo Title
  • Photo Caption (1-2 sentences explaining/describing the photo and its relevance to the theme)
  • Location of photo
  • Date of photo
• Submission Period: March 6-18, 2024
• Judging Criteria
  • 40% Relevance to the theme
  • 30% Originality/Artistic Composition
  • 20% Age of photo
  • 10% Overall Impact
• The HPPCOOP Board will act as the judges.
• Results of the contest is final.
• Prizes
  • 1^st Place P5,000.00 Plus 3D2N Stay in Baguio or Tagaytay
  • 2^nd Place P3,000.00 Plus 3D2N Stay in Baguio or Tagaytay
  • 3^rd Place P2,000.00 Plus 3D2N Stay in Baguio or Tagaytay

The success of any food service organization is in the quality of its menu. And the chef plays a crucial role in that aspect. Apart from creating delicious food and excellent customer service, the chef must have the technical proficiency to prepare different types of dishes. He/she must be familiar with the different techniques, equipment, ingredients, and flavors to be able to deliver mouth-watering meals every time.

HPP Cafe Executive Chef, Juan Valenzuela, recently attended a workshop on Thai cuisine in Bangkok, Thailand where he mastered the art of preparing Thai dishes. From the workshop, Chef Juan discovered how to use traditional Thai herbs and spices and learned various tips and techniques in Thai cooking directly from renowned professional Thai chef, Chef Chay. 

With his new skills, we hope to incorporate some Thai selections in HPP Cafe's menu soon. Stay tuned!

*Raffle Mechanics:

1. Both Regular and Associate Members are eligible to join.
2. Per policy, each member will be assessed P600.00 for the Members Raffle Fund which will be deducted from his/her coop savings account to be eligible. See Art IV of Membership Policy for details.
3. To recognize members who have been with the coop for a number of years, the number of tickets allotted per member will correspond to his/her number of years as a member. A fraction of a year will be considered one (1) year.
4. Members may only win once. A member who wins more than once will only get the higher prize. The lower prize will be redrawn. 
5. Presence is NOT REQUIRED to win in the Minor Raffle which will be done electronically. Raffle of all Minor Prizes for redraw will be done after all minor prizes are drawn.
6. Presence is REQUIRED to win in the Major/Grand Raffle which will be done manually via tambiolo and physical tickets. Tambiolo and ticket preparation will be shared for members to witness. Raffle of all Major Prizes for redraw will be done before the Grand Raffle (i.e. Toyota Wigo).
7. Grand Raffle prize is subject to 20% Final Withholding Tax c/o the winner.
8. PRESENCE REQUIRED DEFINITION: To be present during the raffle means either physically present at the F2F venue or virtually present via Zoom (camera must be on and working).
9. A member must be in Good Standing to claim his/her prize.
10. The decision of the Board is final.

Kristine Lorraine Yan De Claro, one of our Directors, has resigned from the Company and had to leave the Board. As provided for in our Bylaws, the Board has appointed Ogie Cortezano as replacement who will serve for the unexpired term of Tin (up to March 2025 or until a successor is named). As many of you may know, Ogie is one of our Founding Members and he has held various positions in our Cooperative including being a Board Member from 2021-2022.
